Purchasing Advertising

100% of your advertising dollars go directly to the Harlan County Outdoor Recreational Board Authority which manages Black Mountain Recreational Park. Our ads are inexpensive and well-placed, and can be designed to your satisfaction for no charge.

Ads cost $10 per month and are available in 6-month plans. You may also pay with the Paypal Subscriptions option on a 6-month subscription. Text links are also available for $5 per month on a 6-month plan. Text links will appear on the Area Information page.

Businesses eligible for advertisement must be incorporated, tax-paying businesses and related to the tourism or off-road industry.

Website Traffic - Advertising Statistics

During a sample month, our site recieved 10,228 visits from 3,847 unique visitors. That totaled up to 193,539 page views and 466,177 hits. Traffic is expected to increase as the board begins a regional advertising campaign including our website address on television and in print. When we advertise, you benefit.

But you don't have to take our word for it. When you advertise with us, you can log in to our site and see how many times your ad is displayed and how many click-throughs you recieve. You also have the option to have full reports automatically e-mailed to you as often as you like.

Ad Design

If you would like to submit your own ad design, please use the guide to the right for proper sizing of your ad. Ads should be 160 pixels wide and 600 pixels tall. Any format can be accepted and converted for use.

If you do not have a website to link your ad to, an advertisment page can be built for you. This may contain up to one logo and up to two photographs in addition to text. Designs for this page may also be submitted programs like Microsoft Word or Frontpage.
