About the Board

In March of 2005, the Harlan County Outdoor Recreational Board Authority was appointed by the Harlan County Fiscal Court to manage Harlan County's outdoor recreational trail system, the Kentucky Mountain Trails of Harlan County. Each member volunteers his or her time to work with the local community, businesses and land-owners to maintain a prosperous trail system.

Roger is president of the Harlan County Chamber of Commerce and the local Kentucky Farm Bureau.

Kim serves as the Harlan Tourism Director and serves on many regional tourism boards.

Virgil is part-heir to the Eversole estate and employee of the Bank of Harlan.

Susan is co-owner of Lawson & Lawson Attorney at Law and serves as the Black Mountain Recreational Park landowner's representative.
