Permits are available in two forms: a 31-day permit and a one-year permit. For more information on the fee system, click here

Permits will be on sale via the trail shop shortly. Please be aware that it can take up to 10 business days to receive your permit(s). A complete application must be filled out and a waiver signed and mailed or faxed before your permit(s) will be shipped to you. If you wish to purchase one now, please e-mail the board secretary at shaught@harlanonline.net. They are available to purchase on-site at three locations: The Harlan Center, Black Mountain Cabins and Harlan County Campground.

Full Color 11x17 Trail Map

Full-color 11"x17" trail maps of Black Mountain Recreational Park created by sub-meter accurate GPS equipment and overlaid on USGS topographical data. Each trail on the map is numbered to correspond with the signage on the park. Each side has seperate maps to indicate degree of difficulty for ATV trails, or Class 1 through Class 5 for rock crawlers, jeeps and rail buggies.
