Student Art Showcase & Reception

December 17, 2025 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

✨ “’Twas the Night Before Christmas in Harlan County” – A Student Art Showcase ✨

The Harlan Center had the absolute joy of partnering with the Harlan Independent High School art students in Ms. Crystal Fox’s class on a truly special holiday project. Together, we reimagined the classic poem of “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” into “’Twas the Night Before Christmas in Harlan County,” and Ms. Fox’s incredibly talented students painted original canvases inspired by each paragraph of the story!

A huge thank-you to Ms. Fox for pouring so much heart into her students, and to these remarkable young artists whose creativity brought this holly jolly Harlan tale to life:

🎨 Jaci Davis
🎨 Jasmine Johnson
🎨 Abbiegail Elliott
🎨 Rihanna Montanaro
🎨 Avery Eversole
🎨 Karagan Baker

Their work is now on display in the Harlan Center Gallery, and we invite the entire community to come experience this exhibit, read the story, and celebrate the talent we have right here at home.

You can view the exhibit anytime the Harlan Center is open, and if you’d like to stop by during business hours, we’re open Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM.

We will also be hosting a reception for the art show and students on December 17th.
📅 Art Show Reception:

Wednesday, December 17th
5:00–6:00 PM
Come meet the artists and enjoy the full collection together.

This project is full of heart, creativity, and Harlan County magic. We can’t wait for you to see it!
