The Iron KY- The Final Chapter
The AMG and BOA Presents “THE IRON KY-THE FINAL CHAPTER” Advanced Riders Weekend 2025 right here in Central Appalachia! Get ready to Ride/Drive the Baddest and also most Scenic Ride or Drive in the U.S.! Period!
We have expanded THE IRON KY each year to make it more of a challenge since it’s original release with The Original, 2.0, and 3.0, and Now we bring you “THE IRON KY-THE FINAL CHAPTER” and our Completed Route and trust us the Ride or Drive just got even better! Even if you have ridden or driven “THE IRON KY” and our previous route releases in previous years this incredible and demanding journey through the Appalachian Mountains just got more challenging than even before and more beautiful! That’s Right “THE IRON KY” which already includes 4 Central Appalachian State lines and over 700 Miles just got even more challenging as we add more Technical CURVES and MOUNTAINS to our completed route and “The FINAL CHAPTER”! Appalachia’s Most Demanding Trail Route just got even more demanding and just like last year we are going to Hatfield and McCoy Country and Back again. We will also visit many other “Uniquely Appalachian” places along the way including Red River Gorge! If you do not want to set an individual or group time record on this ride no need to worry, you can run at your own pace ahead of the Advanced Riders Scenery Group in the Advanced Riders Time Group!
If you want to join us and take your time (That just means not rippin it Like the Speed Demons) just for the scenery and experience or just ride one leg of it with us you are more then welcome to but keep in mind we are moving on this Route and this is no Ride or Drive for the inexperienced in either group! Everyone is welcome to follow us, Cars, Jeeps, Bikes, Slingshots. There will be 2 Teams this year riding “THE IRON KY-The Final Chapter” just for this reason!
Team One – Advanced Riders/Drivers Time Group – This is the fast group who wants to set the new time record on “THE IRON KY-The Final Chapter”!. This group will run the same schedule as the the Scenery Group Listed Below but much farther ahead or at their own pace. Individuals going for time can also go forward with this group.
Team Two – Advanced Riders/Drivers Scenery Group – This is the slower group for paced riders. Great group for 2-ups, etc… This group will leave 2nd. This Group will be led by the AMG Road Crew!
Groups and Individuals who are riding for time and not staying at Benham School House Inn can keep rolling but your gonna miss Dinner at one of our favorite spots with our Partners at Black Bear BBQ in Appalachia Virginia and our Annual Party with our Partners at The Benham Schoolhouse Inn! Do not Delay, Book Your Room Today or you will be staying in VA!
This is a 2 day event covering over 700 miles, 4 states lines, and over 17 hours of ride time and a whole lot of curves and epic Appalachian scenery along the way. “THE IRON KY” includes several segments of other popular Trail Routes in our Backroads of Appalachia Mobile Application such as the DragonSlayer HWY 160, Coal Train 421, The Slingshot, River Dragon, Eye of the Dragon, The Hornet, and Hatfield and McCoy Trail System’s Devil’s Den in WV!
All who complete this ride will receive the coveted ‘THE IRON KY” Patch, IRON Decal, and our “I RODE THE IRON” Sticker. This patch and these decals can only be earned by completing THE IRON in 24 Hours or on this Annual AMG Group Ride, this is the only Trail Route Patch we have at BOA that cannot be purchased and must be earned the hard way! Very few have the Honor of wearing this Patch and if you see one trust us they earned it!
